MGC Copy Number Variation Service

Focused copy number variation studies are performed on Applied Biosystems' 7900HT Real-Time PCR System using both pre-developed and custom TaqMan® Copy Number Assays. Raw data analysis is performed with CopyCaller Software from Applied Biosystems.

Whole genome copy number variation studies can be performed on Illumina's iScan System using their BeadArray® technology or on genome tilepath arrays that are developed in house. Inhouse arrays are created using a Genetix Array2 arraying robot, which has the capacity to produce genomic microarrays at a density of 40,000 individual data points per microarray. The arrays are scanned on a Molecular Devices Axon GenePix 4100A dual laser system with high-resolution (5um) digital optics. Raw data analysis is performed with Nexus Copy Number software from BioDiscovery, Inc.
